What we're all about
MEETINGS: The Sutter Creek Woman's Club meets the first Wednesday of each month, September through May, in the Sutter Creek Community Building, unless otherwise noted. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon.
Cost of lunch is $10 (checks preferred), with $5 designated to the Scholarship Fund. Luncheon hostesses are asked to find a substitute hostess if their assigned month is inconvenient. Board meetings are held at least three times a year with the President setting the dates.
DUES: Annual membership dues are $25, payable May 1. (Download membership application form here ~ PDF file.)
FUNDRAISING: Our annual Tea and Card Party is held during the month of February to raise funds for projects and scholarships.
PHILANTHROPY: The Sutter Creek Woman's Club is proud to announce the distribution of $2,500 in philanthropy awards to the following clubs and organizations; amounts bequeathed are between $100 and $1,000 each in 2008 so far:
- Amador Band Boosters
- Amador Stars (transportation)
- Interfaith Food Bank
- Main Street Theatre Works
- Amador County Sober Grad
- Friends of Amador County Libraries (children's books, Sutter Creek branch)
SCHOLARSHIPS: The Sutter Creek Woman's Club gave three scholarships of $700 each to three Amador High School graduates.
